Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have been compared with each other ever since the former became an official member of the royal family last year. Now they are once again being differentiated by a royal expert.

On the Australian podcast “Royals,” royal commentator Angela Mollard said that there’s one thing that the Duchess of Sussex can do that the Duchess of Cambridge can’t. After all, the two female royals’ role in the monarchy is quite different.

According to Mollard, there has been much talk about breastfeeding in public. Even though Meghan hasn’t been spotted breastfeeding in public, it is highly that she would do it to break away from royal tradition. A source previously said that the “Suits” alum wants to destigmatize the notion that breastfeeding should be done privately.

Last year, Heat magazine reported that Meghan also wants Prince Harry to be seen carrying their children in public. When the royal couple introduced Archie into the world, it was Prince Harry who carried him inside Windsor Castle.

“Again, very, very different from Kate,” Mollard said. “You could never imagine Kate … I mean, we haven’t seen Prince Louis really, apart from official photographs. We just don’t see those babies in those early years. Will she do it? I think it’s an interesting proposition.”

Mollard is convinced that Meghan would raise her son with a more American, new age, progressive parenting style, compared with Kate. After all, the Duchess of Cambridge doesn’t have American roots.

Meanwhile, the royal expert also predicted the kinds of clothes that Meghan and Prince Harry’s children would wear. She noted the fact that Prince George is seldom photographed wearing trousers. In contrast, Mollard thinks that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would dress their little boy in dungarees. “We won’t be in for a carbon copy of what Kate and William have done, for sure,” she said.

Meghan and Prince Harry welcomed their firstborn on May 6 at 5:26 a.m. Archie was introduced to the entire world two days later.
