Rumors of a royal rift among the fab four have surfaced once again after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle unfollowed Prince William and Kate Middleton on Instagram. On Wednesday, the soon-to-be royal parents unfollowed Kensington Palace’s Instagram account, which is the official account of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex posted on Tuesday on their Instagram that their page would soon start highlighting mental awareness accounts. This would run for the whole month of May as they observe the Mental Health Awareness Month in the U.S.

After the announcement, avid followers of the royal couple were quick to notice that Kensington Palace was no longer in the list of accounts that they follow. Although it sparked another wave of royal rift rumors, Prince Harry and Meghan cleared that the Mental Health Awareness Month was the reason behind the change in their following.

“Each month we will honor this same concept and change the accounts we solely follow based on a different theme or cause,” the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrote. “Please go to our homepage and click ‘Following’ to see each of the select accounts and find out more about their work,” they added.

According to the royal couple, they would like to pay tribute to all of the incredible work that people across the globe are doing to promote mental health and would therefore back up selected Instagram accounts that promote mental health, well-being, mental fitness, body positivity, self-care and the importance of human connection. On Wednesday, the couple handpicked a few organizations on Instagram to promote and show their support for their mental health advocacies.

Apparently, Prince Harry and Meghan’s recent move to unfollow Prince William and Kate does not necessarily mean that there is still bad blood between them. In fact, Prince William and Kate’s Instagram is still following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s.

After Prince Harry and Meghan moved out of Kensington Palace to transfer to Frogmore Cottage, the Palace’s Instagram announced that it would solely focus on the work of Prince William and Kate and that a new account had been created for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
