Alex Rodriguez recently revealed that he practiced his proposal to Jennifer Lopez three times before actually going down on his knee. The couple got engaged last month.

During his appearance on the “The Tonight Show,” the professional baseball player told host Jimmy Fallon that he went over his Bahamas engagement plan three times. Rodriguez said that this was because he wanted to make sure that it would take place exactly during sunset.

“I planned it for about 6 months,” Rodriguez said. “What was interesting was the three days prior to me going down on one knee and getting engaged, I rehearsed three days in a row because I wanted the sunset to be perfect,” he added.

Rodriguez went to the beach three times alongside his assistant, Ashley, and watched the horizon. Fallon asked Rodriguez if this meant he practiced his proposal on Ashley, and the athlete said yes.

During his first trip to the beach, sunset took place at 6:27 p.m. On the second day, sunset was at 6:29 p.m., and on the third day, it was raining. Rodriguez settled with 6:29 p.m. and called it the magic time, and he was right.

On Lopez’s Instagram account, a photo of Rodriguez kneeling down and asking for her hand in marriage was uploaded. Behind the adorable couple is a picture-perfect backdrop of the sunset. Rodriguez is smiling in the photo, while Lopez covers her hand in shock.

Lopez and Rodriguez have been dating for two years before they got engaged. The couple has a blended family, which includes Lopez’s two children, Max and Emme, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, as well as Rodriguez’s two daughters, Natasha and Ella, with his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis.

During an interview, Rodriguez said that he and Lopez are so happy that their children get along well with each other. “We couldn’t have asked for anything better than the four of them getting along as they do,” he said.

As of late, details about Lopez and Rodriguez’s wedding are still being kept under wraps. However, it is guaranteed that all four of their respective children will play an important role in their entourage.
