"Glee" alum Darren Criss is joining the cast of "American Horror Story: Hotel," playing a hipster Melty reports. It make sense, seeing how the series' creator, Ryan Murphy, was also the brains behind the wildly successful" Glee," which wrapped up after six seasons back in March.

Even more E! Online revealed Criss will play a character named Justin the Hipster, who will join the TV series on its Halloween episode. Justin and his girlfriend will check into the hotel for a night of romance away from the hoardes of trick or treaters. The site reports that Justin will "practically beg" Kathy Bates' character (who owns the hotel) to make his life a living hell.

It'll be interesting to learn the shows plotline and see these characters in action when the series returns this October. But until then check out these other nine exciting details about "AHS: Hotel" below:

1. So far the cast includes "AHS" vets Sarah Paulson as Hypodermic Sally, Evan Peters as Mr. March, Chloë Sevigny, Wes Bentley, Finn Wittrock, Emma Roberts, Denis O'Hare and Lily Rabe as a serial killer. As well as newbies Lady Gaga, Matt Bomber as Donovan, "New Girl's" Max Greenfield, Richard T. Jones as Detective Hahn, Helena Mattsson, Naomi Campbell as a fashion designer and Cheyenne Jackson. We'll also see Kathy Bates as Iris and Angela Bassett as Ramona.

2. Michael Chiklis told Us Weekly on the PaleyFest red carpet that he would be interested in returning to the series, but had not heard any information on their potential new roles.

3. Jessica Lange will not be returning for season five. The 65-year-old actress confirmed her departure at Paleyfest.

“Yes, I’m done,” the actress revealed. “We’ve had a great run here. I have absolutely loved doing these four characters that I’ve had the opportunity to play. In all the madness, I’ve loved the writers, my actors, Ryan [Murphy, creator] and the whole, I mean, insanity of it, shooting here, shooting in New Orleans, the stories, everything.”

4. During the TCA winter press tour FX Networks CEO John Landgraf indicated season five of "AHS" will make some drastic changes to help improve the show as a whole.

"I know what [the premise for season 5] is, but I can’t [say]. I have to let [series boss] Ryan [Murphy] do his thing on that. But it’s very different."

Landgraf added, "One of the things I love so much about that is that it can be radically, radically reinvented in terms of tone, setting, period, characters, cast… I think there’s going to be an unusually large reinvention in between Book 4 and Book 5 relative to, say, between Book 3 and 4."

5. Fans have theorized that clues were left in the previous season of "AHS" that give us a location for season five, the Garden of Allah Hotel in Hollywood.

According to Movie Pilot's website Jessica Lange's character in "AHS: Freak Show," Elsa Mars, was inspired by Marlene Dietrich, the star of a film entitled Garden of Allah that was made in 1936.

The site also reveals, when Stanley is on the spinning board pleading for his life, he tells Elsa that he knows people in LA, because his brother "works at the Garden of Allah" in Hollywood.

Also viewers have noticed that in the bistro scene in the first episode of "AHS: Freak Show," Elsa mentions The Garden of Allah (although this is a reference to the film, not the hotel).

6. A rumor is making its rounds on the internet which says the show's storyline will be using the song "Hotel California" from the Eagles as source material. The song was allegedly about Anton LaVey, the founder of the Church of Satan. According to Inquisitr, LaVey purchased a hotel in San Francisco and turned it into the Church of Satan.

7. "American Horror Story: Hotel" has been revealed to have a 13-episode arc and production will begin in Los Angeles late summer, reports The Wrap. With a premiere date in October.

8. "AHS" veteran Naomi Grossman teases return to the series. Toofab caught up with the actress who portray Pepper the Pinhead, who expressed interest in returning as a new character in a future season.

"Of course there’s a chance. Anything’s possible in 'American Horror Story,'" Grossman teased. "Anything could happen. The Beatles could be resurrected and reunited on that show, anything could happen!"

9. FX has released a follow-up teaser trailer for the latest installment of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s anthology series, Hotel.

The teaser titled "Front Desk" features a very lavish and detailed glove, complete with what appears to be sharp silver nails, hitting the concierge bell at the front desk of a hotel. Lady Gaga is starring in the new season so we assume the glove belongs to her. Plus the videos description reads, "The Lady is ready to check in to AHS:Hotel this October on FX."
