The Boston Marathon on Monday April 15 was held in honor of the Newtown families.

"26 miles for 26 families" was the motto of the run, and 26 seconds of silence were observed at the beginning of the race. The families were sitting in the VIP spots at the first row on the finish line, right when the explosions happened.

Boston police reported 23 injured and 2 dead, but as far as we know, none of them belonged to the Newtown families.

Police reported on the finding of explosive devices in several other locations in Boston, that were not set off.
