Brooke Mueller checked into a rehab facility on Friday the day after her twin sons were removed from her care. Brooke Mueller has two children, Bob and Max, with ex-husband Charlie Sheen.

Mueller admitted herself to rehab at the UCLA Medical Center. Mueller will receive treatment for her prescription drug abuse. Last week, child welfare officials declared that Mueller had created an "unsafe environment" at home for her young children. The 4 year-old twin boys have been placed in the care of Sheen's other ex-wife, Denise Richards.

An anonymous source revealed to TMZ "Brooke feels Denise is a great parent and will give her boys everything they need while she seeks help, Brooke is grateful to Denise and knowing her boys are in good hands is allowing her to focus on herself and get better."

Mueller has vowed to stop abusing drugs and clean up her act for her children.

Reports have stated that Mueller was being involuntarily held at the rehab facility last week and was allegedly released on Friday before checking back into the facility voluntarily.

Mueller's representative, Steve Honig, tells WENN, "Despite reports to the contrary, Brooke is currently at UCLA Medical Center where she has been since being admitted May 3. Brooke will be there for several more days, and will likely transition directly into a residential treatment facility to get help for prescription drug abuse. Brooke misses her children, and wants to get healthy so she can resume her life and get back to being a mom."

This is not the first time Brooke Mueller has checked into rehab, in July of 2011, Mueller completed a 45-day outpatient rehab program for alcohol and drug problems.
