Only three episodes into the final season of "Burn Notice" and we are already filled with more questions than answers. The biggest question of all is who does Burke work for?

In case you missed the first three episodes of "Burn Notice" here is a quick recap: Michael Westen made a deal with the CIA to help bring down an international terrorist operating out of the Dominican Republic. The catch is that if Westen doesn't stop the terrorist, Burke, he and his friends will be sent back to the CIA detention facility for good.

So down to the DR Westen went in hopes of stopping Burke. In the meantime Fiona, Sam and Jesse have all moved on with no word from Michael Westen. Fiona even has a new man in her life. Weston pops back up in Miami with the CIA to deal with a man who has been checking into his whereabouts.

This mystery man it turns out worked for Burke's right hand man and Michael is forced to take out both men in order to maintain his cover. Reuniting briefly with Sam, Jesse and Fi, Michael apologizes and realizes his relationship with Fiona is over. (This just can't be true. How can they end "Burn Notice" for good without a Michael and Fiona reconciliation?)

Anyway, Sam and Jesse offer Mike any help they can whenever he needs it before he heads back down to the Dominican Republic. Which brings us to episode three 'Down Range.'

Sam and Jesse travel to the DR in order to help Westen do a job with Burke as part of the CIA's plan to keep tabs on the international terrorist. Sam and Jesse are told by Burke to cover Westen as he steals a truck they are after. Burke tells Sam to shoot any guard that comes near Westen.

This is where things change for Sam. Sam has always been the comedic relief to Michael's dramatic exploits. In few episodes we see a more serious side of Sam Axe. This stern side of the former NAVY seal usually comes up when he is talking about his past.

In last night's episode of "Burn Notice" Sam was forced to shoot and kill one of the guards protecting the truck Michael was trying to steal. After he took the shot Sam looked dazed and Jesse had to ask twice if he was okay.

After helping Mike with the job the CIA informs Sam and Jesse they are going to go back to Miami. Sam refuses saying he just killed a man and wants to finish the job. Reluctantly the CIA agrees to let them stay.

Michael and Burke are at a warehouse looking to sell the contents of the stolen truck to a terrorist named Serrano. Weston's cover is almost blown because of the snipers the CIA has placed on the roof of the warehouse where Burke is trying to make the sale.

Always the quick thinker Sam takes a riffle and fires a few shots at Mike to make it look like the snipers belong to Serrano not him.

As it turns out Burke has a boss of his own who wants Serrano for some reason. Westen, Burke and a drugged Serrano all get on a helicopter and head off to who knows where? Westen tells Burke he wants answers and all Burke says is he has to ask his boss before that can happen. The episode ends with the helicopter flying off and Sam and Jesse realizing whatever Mike is involved in is far from over.

In case you were wondering last night's "Burn Notice" was not Fiona free. Fi and Maddie have their hands full dealing with one of Nate's bookies. The mob connected thug approaches Maddie in the park while she is enjoying an afternoon with Charlie, her 3-year-old grandson.

The bookie tells Maddie she must pay $80,000 in order to wipe out Nate's debt. Maddie and Fiona come up with a scheme to get the bookie in hot water with his mobster friends and the plan ends with Maddie telling the bookie she owns him now.

Maddie is one tough momma and you don't want to mess with her and you especially don't want to threaten her family.

"Burn Notice" is heating up and there is sure to be more explosive exploits from Mike, Fiona, Jesse and Sam on the way.
