Fiona is shocked and obviously upset about what she has just heard questioning Michael about sleeping with the enemy. She then asks him if Sonya was still in fact the enemy. By the end of the episode that question will be answered.

Returning to the loft Michael begins to fill out pad after pad with all of his covert operations and career history including and everything he did after his burn notice.

Sonya wraps her arms around Michael and tells him to include the events of the previous night because at her organization the rule is you kiss, you tell. Then she takes out a stun gun and shocks Michael causing him to pass out.

Waking up in a million dollar mansion Michael is face to face with James, although the mad man keeps his identity secret until the very end.

Westen and James begin to go over the notes on Michael's legal pads but James is not convinced Michael has been totally honest with him. Michael's notes are very robotic and by the book covert information and his responses to James' questions are the same.

James decides to loosen Michael up by depriving him of sleep and putting him through a series of psychological torture treatments. Although in his narration Westen says the Geneva Convention does not recognize these methods as torture, but it can sure feel that way.

Westen is locked in a white room while the lights are simultaneously turned on and off. A loud siren keeps Michael awake and close to losing his mind as it blares into his ears.

Mean while Sam, Jesse and Fiona all notice Michael has been missing for a few days and start to worry. They begin to tail Sonya hoping she'll lead them to Michael. Eventually she does but the outcome is not what they expected.

Oh by the way remember "Dead Larry"? He's back, well in a manner of speaking. Part of James' goal with the torture is to root out any demons Westen may have buried inside of him. Larry, Michael's mentor from his CIA days may be one of his biggest demons, next to his father.

James pumps Michael full of drugs that start to make him hallucinate. He sees Fiona, and begins to cry telling her he needs her and he can't take much more. His Fiona image tells him he doesn't need her and to be strong.

The more questions James asks Michael the more he hallucinates. As James gets closer to finding out what makes Michael Westen tick, Westen sees and talks with Larry.

Larry screams at Michael to give James what he wants and give up the dark secrets of his past. Michael fights Larry for as long as he is able before giving up a secret that lets us into his true nature.

While on a job with Larry, their last official job, Westen blows up a factory filled with innocent people in order to neutralize his target. It was at the moment Westen realized he like who he was becoming. It is also the reason Michael does a job with out killing anyone unless he absolutely has to.

Westen tells James he can still hear the people in the factory screaming. Wanting more from Westen James keeps going with the interrogation. Michael starts to see his father, the abusive alcoholic that used to terrorize his family.

Just as James is talking to him Michael passes out and wakes up back in the white room with Sonya. She comes bursting in asking Michael what he told James, because he now wants to kill him.

Sonya breaks Michael out, saying she owes him a debt, but it is plain to see Sonya is playing Michael. Why would she suddenly turn her back on an organization she dedicated her life to?

Sam, Jess and Fiona are able to use a boat belonging to Sam's girlfriend in order to get a better look at the island where James' mansion is located. They see Sonya carrying Michael out into the woods toward a speedboat with guards close behind them.

Sam attempts to shoot at the guards but stops when he sees Michael turn back and give himself up. Westen realizes after he sees his father that he did not give up anything that would condemn him.

Returning to James we learn that Sonya's escape plan was all part of James's way of breaking Michael and testing his loyalty.

James dumps a still drugged Westen on the dock and demolishes the mansion they were in. Presumably Michael has a seat at the table, but you'll have to keep watching to know for sure.

Westen wakes up in his mother's house and tells her what happened. Westen confesses to seeing his father and tells Maddie his dad's abuse was the reason he was able to hang on as long as he did.

The episode ends there and fans are hanging on wanting to know more. It is hard to believe this is the final season of "Burn notice" there are still so many unanswered questions.
