At the first New York-based PaleyFest event "Orange is the New Black" creator, Jenji Kohan, spoke about season two of the hit-Netflix show saying to expect a more balanced story line. While season one of "Orange is the New Black" focused on Piper's entrance and adjustment to prison, season two will look at the cast as a whole and focus on individuals stories from season one. "It's becoming much more of an ensemble," Kohan told TV Guide this week. "As much as I love Piper and Taylor and her journey, I think people are interested in everybody's journey."

Kohan admitted that some fan favorites will get more air time in season two telling TV Guide, "Kohan does promise we'll see some of the fan favorites, including Crazy Eyes (Uzo Aduba), who we learned in Season 1 was likely adopted, but not much else. Kate Mulgrew, who plays Red, also promises we'll see some of Poussé (Samira Wiley) and Black Cindy's (Adrienne Moore) histories, while Danielle Brooks is hoping to learn more about her own character. 'I'm dying to learn more about [Taystee]!" she says. "And some of the guards. How interesting would it be to go into their lives?'"

Kohan also shared that if there was a season three there would be more characters getting their moment to shine saying, "Knock on wood, if there's a Season 3, we're really talking about focusing in on the guards more then."

Laura Prepon who plays Alex is rumored to be less present in season two which brings up the question 'what will happen to Alex and Piper's relationship?' Jason Biggs shed some light on Piper's relationship revealing that his character, Larry, and Piper will try to figure out their complicated relationship. Biggs said, "Beginning of Season 2 and throughout we're going to see or at least explore if the damage that was done is irreparable or if they can work through this."

The official premiere date for "Orange is the New Black" season two has yet to be announced. It will premiere next year exclusively on Netflix.
