'Attack On Titan' Levi Prequel Spoilers: Preview Reveals New Characters, Survey Corps Origin [REPORT]

Most anime fans are eagerly awaiting for "Attack on Titan" Season 2. According to reports, the new season will not arrive until August 2015 as Wit Studio is still waiting on Volume 14 and 15 of the manga to complete. Meanwhile, an "Attack on Titan" prequel spin-off known as "No Regrets, Birth of Levi" is slated to arrive in December 2014. Finally, the first "Birth of Levi" promo trailer has released!

The "Attack on Titan: No Regrets, Birth of Levi" anime will revolve around Levi's Survey Corps journey before he is joined by Eren and Mikasa. Details were scarce when we first learned about the new anime a couple months ago. Thankfully, Anime News Network shared the preview earlier today and helped shed some light on what we should expect from the latest "Attack on Titan" spin-off.

Before Levi was a soldier, we learn that he was actually a street thug from an underground city. In "No Regrets," we will learn how Levi went from a thug to becoming the strongest soldier for humanity. The anime will also follow how Levi met Erwin, the Commander of the Survey Corps. At the same time, we will learn what drives Commander Erwin through his battles as well. The promo trailer revealed a lot of awesome sparring footage between the two soldiers, which definitely promises a crazy story arch that will give us a better idea of what the Survey Corps was like in the past.

What's more, "Attack on Titan: No Regrets, Birth of Levi" will introduce new characters as well. Farlan will be voiced by Koji Yusa, known for his roles in "Zettai Karen Children" and "Black Butler."Next, Isabel will be voiced by Mariya Ise, known for "Yes! Precure 5," and "Hunter x Hunter."

"Attack on Titan: No Regrets, Birth of Levi" will arrive with the arrival of the 15th and 16th volumes of the manga, which will drop on Dec. 9, and Apr. 9, respectively.
