We can all agree that Belinda has come a long way in her career since her “Amigos X Siempre” days back in the year 2000.

The 26-year-old actress recently confirmed she had landed a role in the movie adaptation of the 1990s television hit, “Baywatch,” co-starring Zac Efron and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who judging from their recent comments had a blast working with the Mexican singer.

“Belinda was fantastic,” Efron said during an interview while promoting his latest film “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising” in Mexico City. “She is very sweet, very lovely, and she is really excellent.”

Beli didn’t waste time to post the video on her personal Instagram account as soon as it became available, which caused some criticism from her fans and followers.

“She probably only spoke one minute with him [Efron] and she is all excited about it,” wrote luisah_96. “Zac probably doesn’t even know who she is hahaha this is too much for her,” she continued.

Another fan came to her rescue stating that it is “normal to feel flattered when someone like Efron expresses such nice things about someone,” and added that the “Egoísta” performer “has been fighting to receive this kind of recognition for many years and there’s nothing wrong with feeling good about what other famous people say about her.”

Efron is not the only “Baywatch” star that had nice things to say about Belinda. Last month, “The Rock” shared a post on social media welcoming the singer to the set. “Kaboom! Welcome the Queen of Latin Pop herself @belindapop to #BAYWATCH! Had a great day of rehearsals with her and tomorrow we’ll be ready to rock and roll,” he wrote on Instagram.

He continued, “She’s already a massive music star who could easily ‘settle’ with her success, but she’s hungry and focused to expand, grow and succeed globally. I dig it! Aaaaaaand this chick is very funny and is playing the perfect role in our movie.”

Belinda has appeared in several telenovelas, TV series, and films, including Pedro Torres’s hit “Mujeres Asesinas” and Disney Channel’s original movie “The Cheetah Girls 2.”
