Britney Spears is gearing up to start her Las Vegas residency on December 27 with "Piece of Me" and the setlist of her show has been revealed. The 32-year-old singer will start off her Planet Hollywood show with the "Britney Jean" lead single "Work Bitch" followed by "Womanizer." Other hit songs included are "Toxic," "Circus," "Lucky," "Gimme More," her collab with will.i.am "Scream and Shout" and her collab with Madonna, "Me Against The Music." Notable omissions from the set list are "Sometimes," "Hold It Against Me," "Radar," "Everytime," "Overprotected," "Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know," "Outrageous," "Break The Ice," "Criminal," and the "Smurfs 2" theme song "Ooh La La." A couple weeks ago it was revealed that Britney Spears' music had inspired a new musical that will tell the story of Jesus Christ. The spectacle is titled "Spears The Musical: The Gospel According To Britney" caused some waves among spiritualists on what was possibly be the most offensive musical ever. "These are Britney’s lyrics. These are Jesus Christ’s images. The Britney Spears you see is not Britney Spears. Remember that. The Jesus Christ you read is not Jesus Christ," Patrick Blute, creator of the play, wrote on theofficial website. "These are manifestations. Accounts through the media, through the words of followers, of friends, of foes, of villains, of heroes, of liars, of biases."
Britney Spears posted a hand-written letter addressing fans with a preview of her upcoming eight studio album, "Britney Jean." "I haven't sat down to write you guys in SUCH a long time. Long overdue! We're all so used to getting our thoughts out in 140 characters, but sometimes its nice to take time to sit down and write something a little longer and more personal," the singer said in the letter. " I poured my heart and soul into this album and it's been an incredible journey. I've learned a lot about myself, and as I am finishing, I am reminded of the incredible foundation that has supported me for the last 15 years. Thank you all for continuing to follow me on this journey and for allowing me to do what I love to do. I can’t believe this is my eighth studio album and I know I keep telling you that it is my most personal record yet, but its true and I’m really proud of that."
