"Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" release date is Nov. 4. Activision / Sledgehammer

Have you ever wondered what it'd be like to be a soldier 40 years into the future? Of course, what hardcore FPS gamer hasn't? That's exactly what "Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare" will deliver. The "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" release date Nov. 4, 2014.

According to the latest reports, Activision and Sledgehammer paid very close attention to realism and authenticity even though the game will be set in the year 2054. According to the game, global terrorism will be more threatenening than ever in the future. There will be a rise in private military companies, such as the fictional Atlas Corporation in "Advanced Warfare." As far fetched as this may sound, Sledgehammer Games actually reached out to Pentagon advisors to seek advice and discuss possible scenarios in the future.

"We brought in a lot of outside help - military advisers, futurologists - we got together with a scenario planner from the Department of Defense, who is active in the Pentagon," explained Sledgehammer Games co-founder Michael Condrey in an interview with the Guardian. "His job is to think about future threats and prepare 'what if' scenarios for the US government. So we asked him, what do you think will be the conflict of tomorrow?"

According to the game, private military contractors will become the biggest menaces to national security as each outfit will have its own agendas. In particular, a character named Jonathan Irons, played by actor Kevin Spacey, believes war is a marketplace and countries are corporations. His business venture? The hostile takeover of the USA.

Meanwhile, plot rumors that suggest a revival of the Cold War with Russia as well as conflict within Islamic extremist states are effectively denied. Wealthy private military outfits will be the focal point of "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare."

"We thought that was fascinating and provocative," Condrey revealed. "What happens when an organisation that's built for profit has access to all the latest weapons and technology - an organisation that can operate outside of the Geneva Convention, that can be purchased by the highest bidder? What if that got out of control?"

Beyond the significant singleplayer storyline, "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" is determined to deliver a great multiplayer platform as well. One of the biggest rumors is the exciting zombie mode that we've seen on "Call of Duty: World At War," "Call Of Duty: Black Ops," and "Black ops II." According to Gamingbolt, Zombie is believed to be an element in "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare because of white tally graphics on the custom Xbox One controller. The graphics closely resemble the level ranking tallies from in zombie mode.
