When you have two giants of their genre that happen to be good friends and humanitarians, a musical collaboration is all you can hope for. And our wish was definitely granted. Carlos Vives and Marc Anthony are joining forces in a new song “Cuando Nos Volvamos a Encontrar.” It was written by Vives and produced by Andrés Castro in Miami, and it’s the second single of Carlos Vives’ new album “Más + Corazón Profundo,” to be released May 13.

This song comes after “El Mar de sus Ojos” feat. ChocQuibTown, which positioned Carlos Vives at the top of iTunes Colombia and became the number one at the Billboard Chart in the US. In the new single “Cuando Nos Volvamos a Encontrar” both vallenato and salsa get together in a seamless union that showcases both genres with a perfect balance and mixes Marc’s and Carlos’ voices to make one sweet melody that will captivate you. “‘Cuando Nos Volvamos a Encontrar’ is a collaboration that came out of our friendship and the desire to unite two different brands and enjoy the musical genetics that connects us,” said Vives in a statement.

“The fact that Marc had a great time during the recording and the video shoot is a sign that we did a good job,” added the Colombian singer. The music video was shot in Miami and features the actress Paola Turbay. It was produced by Mestiza Films and directed by Felipe Montoya. The video will be released in the upcoming weeks. Carlos’ new album “Más + Corazón Profundo” can be preordered on iTunes starting April 29. It has 10 tracks and a few “bonus tracks” including the Coca-Cola anthem for the FIFA World Cup, “El Himno de Todos” featuring David Corey in the Spanglish version and Gaby Amarantos in the “Portoñol” version.
