Telenovela starring Eiza Gonzalez, "Amores Verdaderos," will be honored as Outstanding Novela at the 2014 GLAAD Media Awards. Televisa

The 25th Annual GLAAD Media Awards has announced its nominees for this year where it honors the "fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community." The LGBT media advocacy group also takes notice of programming produced in Spanish and will honor "Amores Verdaderos" as Outstanding Novela. The telenovela starring Eiza Gonzalez where she plays a young woman struggling with an eating disorder had a subplot involving two gay men. Jean Marie was the chef of the Balvanera mansion and was played by actor Rubén Branco. Jean served as comic relief of the soap and soon found love in Stéfano, played by Archie Lafranco. The two went on to wed each other in presence of their family and friends. Take a look at the clip down below!

Other television shows nominated were for reports aired during shows like "Al Rojo Vivo" and "Despierta America" or talk shows like "Caso Cerrado" and "Casos de Familia." In the general market nominees the Jennifer Lopez produced ABC Family show, "The Fosters," is up for an award in the Outstanding Drama Series category. The series will compete against "Grey's Anatomy," "Orphan Black," "Pretty Little Liars" and "Shameless." The Sofia Vergara starring comedy series, "Modern Family" is also nominated for having the stories of Cam and Mitchell. The sitcom will be up against Golden Globe winner "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," "Glee," "Orange Is The New Black" and "Please Like Me."

One of the top categories of the night is Outstanding Film which have as nominees "Blue Is The Warmest Color," "Dallas Buyers Club," "Kill Your Darlings," "The Moral Instruments: City of Bones" and "Philomena."
