Several villains revealed for "Gotham" season 2. Fox/Gotham

Good news "Gotham" fans! Executive producer John Stephens recently told the WonderCon audience that a number of classic Batman villains will making their way to season two of the series. Stephens confirmed that the previously announced Victor Fries will be coming as well as Clayface, Tommy Elliott, Hugo Strange and the Mad Hatter.

These revelations were released to Twitter via the official "Gotham" account, excepting Fries, which came from Variety's Laura Prudom, who also added that both "the character of billionaire Bruce Wayne" and Jerome, the Joker from season one, will be explored in the coming year.

We cannot wait to see the younger villains hit the streets in "Gotham" season two but until then check out these other exciting details about the coming season below:

1. Jada Pinkett Smith will not return - This will probably be the last time we see Fish Mooney. On "Live With Kelly and Michael," after a discussion of Mooney’s undeniable badassery, Ripa asked Pinkett Smith whether she’ll be back next year.

“I don’t think so, no. I signed for a year and the year is up,” Pinkett Smith said. “But there are some great things coming ahead on Gotham, believe you me. There’s a lot of good stuff coming.”

2. Chris Chalk joins cast - The "12 Years A Slave" actor is joining the cast of "Gotham." Reports suggest Chalk will play the Wayne Enterprise tech genius Lucius Fox. Fox will be introduced in episode 21 of season one and will return for season 2.

3. No Joker until season two or three! - Sadly it looks like we will be stuck in a Cameron Monaghan-less state for quite some time. In a recent interview the young actor revealed he won't be back for another season or two.

“When I was on set, we discussed the possibly of me coming back in the second or third season,” Monaghan revealed. “Nothing is set in stone yet. I think the producers have a firm plan for what they want to do, but I was not privy to it while I was filming. I would love to come back and do some more.”

4. Bruce Wayne's character development - Season two will see young Bruce start to cultivate the public persona of Bruce Wayne (the rich playboy facade he utilizes as an adult) as he continues investigating his parents' murder.
