Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release to season 10 of "Grey's Anatomy" and with the show's premiere inching closer and closer more and more news is being released. Earlier this summer it was revealed that "Dexter" actor, James Remar who plays Harry Morgan (Dexter's Father), would be appearing in a multi episode arc on "Grey's Anatomy" season 10 but his role was never revealed, until now. It was been revealed that Remar will be playing the father to one of the Surgeon's. Well all speculations are over now that the news has been revealed by Remar himself!
Back in August TV Line reported that Remar would make an appearance in "Grey's Anatomy" season 10 and they even speculated that the actor would play Alex Karev's (Justin Chambers) estranged father but couldn't get ABC to confirm or deny the news. Now it appears Zap2it's website has gotten confirmation from Remar himself that he will indeed be appearing in Grey's season 10 as Karev's father! A little background has been revealed for Karev's father and what his role will be in season 10 and how he will shake up Alex's life.
Remar's character will start off as a patient at the hospital where does re-unite with Alex. Remar teased about his character saying, ""He's a guy that's had a very rough life, a lot of drugs. So it's not an easy reunion." Of course, don't expect Alex to be happy to see his old man. A major plot point for Alex's character has been his rocky childhood and now fans will get a more in-depth look at what Alex had to go through.
Alex's mother was a diagnosed schizophrenic, while his father was in and out of their lives. It was revealed that when Alex's father was around he was abusive towards his family until Alex learned to defend himself and got into a physical altercation with his dad.
It has also been revealed by show creator, Shonda Rhims, that Alex and Jo Wilson's relationship will get a dramedy treatment this season.
