Okay, we've got some good news and we've got some bad news. The bad news is that there will be some downtime on GTA Online for scheduled server maintenance on Sept. 29. The good news is that the scheduled maintenance suggests that a "GTA 5" 1.17 update is imminent. According to many speculations, the latest "GTA 5" DLC is expected to arrive on Sept. 30.

Earlier this month, Rockstar had already performed server maintenance to prepare a revamped leaderboard for GTA online. No doubt, the series of server maintenance of late suggest that "GTA 5" is making preparations for a major 1.17 update. However, it is not clear whether the new DLC will actually be the "GTA 5" Heist update.

Last week, a new video from "GTA 5" tipster DomisLive shed light on a new "GTA 5" leaked source code from Xbox Live Marketplace called the "MPLTS DLC." According to Dom, the leaked source code could be an abbreviation for Multiplayer Last Team Standing. While a Last Team Standing online game mod is already available for GTA Online, the latest source code could refer to a redesigned LTS that utilizes the new leaderboard. That said, the Last Team Standing source code leak does not prove nor disprove whether the highly anticipated "GTA 5" Heists DLC will be the 1.17 update.

We're bound to uncover the truth sooner or later. In any case, we will take the latest scheduled maintenance as a positive thing.

Here's what Rockstar Games had to say regarding the scheduled maintenance:

"We will be performing brief GTA Online maintenance on September 29, 2014 between 9:00am to 10:00am ET. Grand Theft Auto Online and Rockstar Cloud Services will be temporarily unavailable on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 during some of this period.

"Leaderboards both in-game and on the Social Club website may be temporarily paused or unavailable. Submissions to leaderboards will catch up and be posted after the maintenance isfinished, so no data will be lost.

"Apologies in advance for any inconvenience."
