House-Of-Cards-Season-3-Release-Date-Spoilers
Will Frank die in season 3 of "House of Cards"? Netflix

The highly anticipated "House of Cards" Season 3 release date will be February 2015. Last week, Kevin Spacey, who introduced us to the most ruthless congressman in D.C., announced on Twitter that production for the latest season has finally commenced!

"House of Cards" Season 2 ended at a high point when Frank Underwood had finally taken what he has devoted every waking moment of his life to achieve. Without a single vote cast to Underwood's name, the cold-blooded vice president became President of the United States of America. Democracy is so overrated.

The manner in which Underwood had taken the presidency was alarmingly quick. However, the element that made Season 2 such a roller coaster may cause negative affects to the pacing and storyline of Season 3. Season 1 and 2 were all about Frank Underwood's relentless pursuit to the most powerful political seat in these United States. Now that he's done it, what's the next motivation for President Underwood in "House of Cards" Season 3?

"House of Cards" creator Beau Willimon spoke about the complicated motives around Underwood and what we should expect for Season 3. Given the ugly means necessary for Underwood's journey thus far, will he lose the reasons for becoming the president in the first place?

"What do you you do when you're on top of it?" Willimon said. "Who are you? You can no longer say, 'I'm the guy trying to reach the summit.' Now, it has to have meaning. It used to be that the meaning was getting there," Willimon said.

It will be interesting to watch Frank Underwood as he explores the power of his position. However, let's not forget the skeletons in Underwood's closet.

The first skeleton is the ghost of Peter Russo. Frank Underwood and his right hand Doug Stamper have gone to great lengths to keep Rachel Posner under control. However, the plan backfired when Rachel made a break from Doug and ultimately landed a huge rock square into Stamper's face.

Rachel left Doug's body in the woods but it's hard to say whether Doug is actually dead. Rachel Posner is now on the run, but it is unlikely that Underwood will allow her to slip through his fingers. Will Rachel flee and never look back or will she turn around and face Underwood on her own terms?

Secondly, Frank Underwood will be in serious danger if anyone ever finds out the truth behind death of Zoe Barnes. Frank donned a long coat and a fedora to meet Zoe at a train station at the end of the first episode in Season 2. Just like that, Barnes was thrown in front of a moving train and was killed instantly. There is no way that Underwood could kill a news reporter in a major city metro station without even a hint of evidence that leads back to him. We'll find out in "House of Cards" Season 3.
