House of Cards
"House of Cards" is a Netflix original series developed and produced by Beau Willimon. Netflix

Early summer we got a casting announcement for the fourth season of "House of Cards," which said Neve Campbell ("Scream" and "Party of Five") would be joining as a regular cast member. At the time we didn't know much about her role, but a new report reveals some interesting details.

According to The Christian Post, executive producer Beau Willimon shared some plot details as well as some information regarding Campbell's character. He explained that Campbell will play a power hungry woman set on reaching the top and will achieve some momentum by using Frank (Kevin Spacey) and Claire's (Robin Wright) damaged relationship. As for the plot, Willimon stated:

"We're reading the same headlines that you are reading. But we're not trying to deliberately parallel what's going on in real life. It would be a fool's errand to try because we're writing the season many months before it airs. So if we did that, it would feel really old."

The fourth season of "House of Cards" will arrive in 2016. But until that time check out these five Juicy details below:

1. Frank and Claire may reunite - As you know season three ended with Claire walking out on Frank. A new report from Yibada says the couple will reunite for the season four premiere. Christian Today also says that the couple will get together in the face of a new foreign couple that will threaten their power.

2. A Crazy publicity stunt - It was previously reported that the public may be aware of Claire and Frank's relationship issues and the couple is planning a crazy publicity stunt to reassure them everything is ok. Claire would be adopting a young girl to make the masses believe she and Frank are still together and are still in a healthy relationship. The previous report pointed to a casting call that supports this theory.

3. Another regular castmate revealed - According to Deadline Colm Feore ("The Borgias") has booked a recurring role on the upcoming fourth season of Netflix’s "House Of Cards." Feore will play a high-profile new character in the White House drama. Feore was cast in HBO’s "Utopia" and next will be seen in the indie feature film "Reversion."

4. Will Doug die? - Rumors have been swirling that Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly) will finally be killed off in the fourth season. However, if a recent interview with Los Angeles Times is any indication Stamper will not be going anywhere anytime soon. Stamper told LA Times:

"I don't know, man, I don't want him to. This is the greatest job I've ever had, Doug Stamper is the greatest gift I have ever been given as an actor. I love playing him, I love going to work everyday, here we are in season 4 and I love going to work just as much as I did first day of season 1 and that says a lot."
