Chinese website cnBeta, citing Foxconn sources, has revealed a handful of new details regarding Apple's highly-rumored 4-inch iPhone, dubbed the "iPhone 5e." According to the blog the "iPhone 5e" is to be an enhanced version of the iPhone 5 and 5s. It'll be a device for those customers who want the processing power of the iPhone 6, while still keeping the size of the iPhone 5. Check out the rumored specs and features of the "iPhone 5e" below:

Processor and RAM - According to the report the "iPhone 5e" device will be powered by Apple's 64-bit A8 chip and have 1GB of RAM. This coincides with a report from Japanese website Mac Otakara, who said the 4-inch device would indeed carry an A8 chip but did not disclose any information about RAM.

However, Chinese website MyDrivers said the device will have an A9 processor with 2GB of RAM. And KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also predicted the 4-inch iPhone will have an A9 chip.

Storage sizes - Reports claim the new "iPhone 5e" will have a base storage of 16GB with a 64GB model also available. Chinese website MyDrivers also corroborates this report saying the 4-inch iOS device will have a 16GB base storage.

Cameras - The "iPhone 5e" will have the same rear-facing 8-megapixel iSight camera as the iPhone 5s. Furthermore, Mac Otakara said the device will have an improved FaceTime HD camera with ƒ/2.2 aperture.

Touch ID - Apple will reportedly add NFC and Touch ID support to the "iPhone 5e," which was not available on the iPhone 5s unless paired with an Apple Watch.

KGI's Ming-Chi Kuo also claims the device will support Apple Pay to complete the company's lineup of NFC-enabled devices.

Colors and pricing - The "iPhone 5e" is said to feature an anodized aluminum finish and come in the color palette as the iPhone lineup which includes: grey, space grey, gold and rose gold.

The report claims the "iPhone 5e" will launch late February early March, lining up with multiple other reports claiming the new 4-inch iPhone will launch in early 2016. Pricing could start at around $500 U.S., reports MacRumors.
