Imagine how you would feel if you showed up at a party looking the best you have ever looked, turning heads and making people have mini heart attacks over how gorgeous you are, and running into your ex at that same party. Pretty awesome, huh? Well, that’s what happened to Jennifer Lopez at the 2014 MTV VMAs on Sunday, August 24. JLo stunned in a Charbel Zoe gown that had her covered in Swarovski crystals.
Casper Smart was also in attendance, and although he looked handsome, no one could compare to JLo, who really stole the show. Although it could’ve been an awkward encounter between exes, JLo and Casper actually remain good friends after their split. Just recently, they were seen together driving around LA and although many rumors of reconciliation sparked, they’re not together romantically. Even Casper said it when approached by the cameras of E! News at the red carpet, and he said they’re “still friends.”
So, was Casper there to support JLo? Not so fast. He was actually there because he choreographed and was the creative director for Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” and “Bang Bang” opening medley. As for Lopez, she introduced Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora’s performance of “Black Widow.” Although the former flames were seated in different sections of the venue, at some point during the show, Casper walked over to JLo during a commercial break and spoke with her for a brief time. He was carrying a bag of what looked like Skittles and offered some to her, which she accepted.
