Justin Bieber's arrest caused quite the scandal: indeed, it caused such a stir that a petition was launched to deport the pop star on We The People, a section of the new whitehouse.gov site that allows people to petition members of the current administration. Well, the We The People petition launched in favor of deporting Biebs for his crimes has reached a whopping 136,000 signatures! Petitions that surpass 100,000 signatures require a White House response - so we are now waiting for what President Obama will have to say.

Justin Bieber's deportation petition reads as follows: "We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nations youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society."

While as Latin Times discussed previously, it is extremely unlikely that the United States government would take the drastic step of deporting the pop star, it is still fun to consider the possibility of the President commenting on the possible deportation of a 19-year-old for drag racing. Meanwhile, the "Don't Deport Justin Bieber" petition has just 1,500 signatures. "Stop Justin Bieber from getting deported. He is a human being and he makes mistakes. He does not deserve this," reads that plea, created Jan. 25.
