Is Katy Perry Engaged? See Singer Wear Engagement Ring To EMAs

Katy Perry certainly rocked out at the EMA's this year: but not so much on stage as on the red carpet! Photos of the 'Roar' singer arriving at the event clearly show a diamond ring on her left wedding ring finger leading to speculation that the pop princess is engaged to boyfriend John Mayer. Rumors about an engagement have been circulating since the couple started dating in the Summer of 2012. ENews even claims that weedding bells are "inevitable" for the musical pair. Neither Perry's nor Mayer's reps have commented.

Katy Perry was last seen sporting an engagement ring when she was linked to Russel Brand: the two were married but the marriage only lasted fourteen months before the pair divorced in 2011. John Mayer meanwhile has dated as whole slew of celebritated ladies: from Jennifer Anniston to Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jessic Simpson, the singer has gotten around some famous circles. Perry and Mayer split in March before announcing they were together again in the summer. Is this a true engagement? Only time will tell.

In other EMA news, Miley Cyrus' pot smoking was cut from the MTV U.S. broadcast, which cut away to a wide shot and trimming her acceptance speech. Some viewers have been outraged by the pot-smoking reference.
