Early this week co-director of the highly-anticipated Square Enix title "Kingdom Hearts III," Tai Yasue, released a statement regarding the development of title. In the statement Yasue eased gamers by informing them the titles production is still in "full throttle" and revealed while there may be no daily updates from the company doesn't mean progress has stopped for KH3.

Many fans were concerned when KH3 or "Final Fantasy XV" didn't make an appearance at E3 2014 last month. Instead, Square Enix previewed "Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix." Yasue previously mentioned that the remastered compilation won't have an impact on the production of the third installment and we've previously learned that to be true.

After seeing "Kingdom Hearts III" at E3 2013 many expected the title to release at the end of 2014 but that isn't the case. Instead, the company focused on releasing "Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix" before the years end as to re-introduce fans to the franchise before the third installment. The compilation ports "Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix" and "Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix" into one cohesive title. All the cut scenes along with a few extra non-interactive scenarios from "Kingdom Hearts Recoded" were also added. During E3 2014 the company revealed that the game would be available in the U.S.. starting Dec. 2.

Yasue's comments suggested that 2015 would be the earliest fans would see KH3 but other than that no release date or even a window has been mentioned. The third installment is expected to feature tons of gameplay changes like Sora having the ability to use theme part rides in battles with giant monsters. Also his Keyblade will be able to transform into various objects such as guns and much more.

Tai Yasue and Tetsuya Nomura and co-directing the project. The time delay is probably due to the fact Nomura is also working on "Final Fantasy XV" which was also absent from E3 this year. Now that the production teams focus is now KH3 we should definitely be hearing more news in the coming months.
