Labor Day Weekend TV Schedule: Maite Perroni’s ‘La Gata’ Premiere Plus What To Watch On The Tube On The Holiday!

To end your relaxing Labor Day weekend, Univision has a premiere of a new telenovela starring Maite Perroni. The former RBD-member is back with a Cinderalla story titled "La Gata." The story follows Esmeralda, a young woman who lives in the poor neighborhood of La Barranca. The landfill is a place where many, like her, live in abject poverty without the protection and love of a family. Esmeralda becomes friends with a young man from a good family and, with time, they fall in love -- a love that has to remain hidden from the young man’s family. The thrilling telenovela also stars Daniel Arenas, Laura Zapata, Erika Buenfil and a star-studded cast. "La Gata" premieres on Univision at 7pm/6c and will air Monday through Friday.

Univision will not be taking a break to entertain their audiences with brand new episodes of "Mi Corazón Es Tuyo," "Hasta El Fin Del Mundo" and "La Malquerida." The latter telenovela starring Victoria Ruffo, Ariadne Diaz and Christian Meier is in its second week and it's already causing controversy due to subject matter that pits daughter against mother over a man. Rival network Telemundo will also air new episodes of their telenovelas starting at 8pm/7c with "Reina de Corazones" followed by "En Otra Piel" in its last weeks and the final episodes of "El Señor de los Cielos." The latter starring Rafael Amaya is on a countdown to its finale with its story lines intensifying and blood running like if it was raining.

On the anglo networks, ABC starts off the night with a 2-hour new episode of the sizzling "Bachelor in Paradise" starting at 8pm ET/PT finishing off the night with the season finale of "Mistresses." CBS will mostly air reruns of their comedies and has scheduled the CBS Fall Preview show at 8:30pm ET/PT following "The Big Bang Theory." Another notable show airing Monday night is "Under The Dome" as it airs the episode titled "The Fall" at 10pm ET/PT. NBC starts off primetime with a new airing of "Running Wild With Bear Grylis" featuring Tamron Hall and closing the night with the "American Ninja Warrior" National Finales in Vegas. FOX has the Top 6 competing on "MasterChef" followed by a new episode of "Hotel Hell."
