We knew the wait between "Book Three: Change" and "Book Four: Balance" would be short but not that short. Creators of "The Legend of Korra," Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino have revealed that season four of the hit-animated show will premiere Friday Oct. 3!

The two revealed the news via Nickelodeon's website and it has been all over Tumblr on both their pages and was reblogged by the official Korra fan page Korra Nation. Check out the announcement gif below and if you want to see the video head over to Nick.com!

That means in less than a month, the final book of "Korra" will start being released. As with the latter half of season three, which only concluded on Aug. 22. Brand new episodes of "The Legend of Korra" season four will be released on Fridays on Nick's website.

Meanwhile part of Book Four was leaked by Nickelodeon when the network showed a promo trailer revealing the third season would air on it's sister network Nicktoons. The clip showed off Kuvira, voiced by Zelda Williams, standing in front of what looked like Earth Kingdom prisoners. It lead many Korra fans to believe the season three hero would turn villain in Book Four. Check out the leaked promo video below:

While this is incredible news it does lead us to wonder why the show has a shorter release time than it's previous iterations? Is it due to the leak or another reason? Whatever the case is we can't wait to find out what happens to Korra and team Avatar in season four.

Will you be watching season four of "The Legend of Korra" Oct. 3?
