Off to a tremendous start in the Barclays Premier League, Liverpool striker Luis Suárez is enjoying one of the best seasons of his career. Recording 17 goals in 11 BPL contests, the 26-year-old international superstar certainly looks comfortable with his current club, even though past occurrences gave many the indication that he may seek a departure. During the previous summer transfer window, Suárez seemed set on leaving Anfield because he did not feel Liverpool was the place for he and his family. The Arsenal Gunners made two separate pushes for the goal-scorer after Suarez voiced his desire to leave, but the attempts never materialized and Suárez stayed put.

A crucial member of the Uruguayan national team as well, Suárez is one of the biggest reasons why Liverpool is near the top of the Premier League standings. Through 16 league contests, The Reds have earned 33 points on the strength of 10 wins and 3 draws, which currently places them just two points shy of table leader Arsenal. It certainly doesn't appear that Suárez is in need of any extra motivation – with his club trying to fend off BPL chasers in Chelsea, Man City, Everton and Newcastle – but the fact that he recently secured his immediate future may give the 26-year-old even more of a relaxed feel.

Inking a brand new deal with Liverpool this week that will carry him through the 2018 season, Luis Suárez noted that he couldn't be happier to remain with The Reds. His initial contract received in 2012 ran through the 2016 campaign so the extra two years solidify the fact that Suárez will remain at Anfield for two extra seasons, where he'll be 31-years-old at the contract's expiration. The forward also said that he is happy to remain with a team that has a strong core of talent built within the roster with the growing support from the fans adding to the special moment.

“I am delighted to have agreed to a new deal with Liverpool and have my future secured for the long term,” he said. “We have some great players and the team is growing and improving all the time. I believe I can achieve my ambitions of winning trophies and playing at the very highest level with Liverpool. My aim is to help get us there as quickly as possible. Without doubt the backing I have received from Liverpool fans has influenced my decision. I am so proud to represent them and go out to do my best for them every time I pull on the shirt. We have a special relationship.”
