Thursday, November 26 is Thanksgiving Day as well as the 89th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. There are a number of ways to watch the Turkey Day performances, which begin at 9am to noon in New York City. NBC with broadcast the show live starting online for cable subscribers at 9am Eastern Time, but will delay the broadcast so that the parade shows at 9am in each time zone. In other words, West coast residents won’t have to rise at 6am to see the Rockettes, Chica, Mariah Carey, and a smorgasbord of other celebrity acts.

Want to watch the 2015 Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade online for free, instead of on your TV? There are three possible ways we’ve found so far. 1) This Facebook Page is promising to air a live stream of the Macy’s Parade online. 2) EarthCam might not have the glamour shots from NBC, but it will give you a glimpse of the Thanksgiving floats passing through NYC.

Of course the best place to watch the floats are from the streets and larger-windowed apartments of New York City itself. Plan to be in the city? Walking Off The Big Apple has created a map-based guide for watching the parade along its scheduled route, including a list of buildings that might offer a comfortable vista of the festivities.

The parade starts at 77th St. and Central Park West, wraps south around Central Park with a turn at Columbus Circle, and dives down 6th Avenue before finishing at Herald Square. Follow the parade on Twitter with the hashtag #macysparade.
