Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves first met in 2006 and became engaged over Christmas in 2011. The couple got married in what was reported to be a very emotional ceremony in Austin, Texas, where the actor is from, in June 2012.
Matthew’s love for Camila has not gone unnoticed: “I found the woman I wanna do it with, the woman I wanna make a family with, hopefully live our life out together,” he told Esquire during an interview in 2011.
The pair announced they were expecting baby number 4 earlier this year, which was a shock to everyone who thought the stunning pair were done having babies after Vida, Levi, and Livingston were born.
In the May/June issue of the Haute Living Los Angeles available Wednesday, the actor mentioned he tries to make every life experience a moment of learning for his kids. After winning an Oscar for "Dallas Buyers Club," the children wanted to know the reason behind Daddy's "trophy." After taking them back to the days of the shooting, McConaughey says that night his kids learned "not that if you go to work you get a trophy, but if you do something really good today, you can be rewarded for it later."
Today, the actor finds himself grateful for many things in and around his life, including his children, and his beautiful wife: “Now I get to wake up next to someone who I know loves me the way she does, my wife, who gave birth to our three beautiful, healthy children. I get to live in a nice place, and I have things to look forward to every day, work, play, and sometimes nothing at all.”
