In what the president of Victoria’s Secret, Ed Razek, called “the biggest single addition of contract models in the history of the industry,” we got to meet ten new Angels who just got their wings. The newbies will be joing supermodels Behati Prinsloo, Lily Aldridge and Candice Swanepeol in lingerie heaven stepping in for those Angels who retired last season, including Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio Doutzen Kroes and Karlie Kloss. The new clan is not short on diversity and beauty as new additions come from all over the world!
The new clan includes Elsa Hosk from Sweden; Taylor Hill, Jasmine Tookes and Martha Hunt from the US; Jac Jagaciak from Poland; Kate Grigorieva from Russia, Stella Maxwell from the United Kingdom; Sara Sampaio from Portugal; and Romee Strijd from Holland and last but not least, representing Latinos is Brazilian beauty and swimsuit model, Lais Ribeiro. The 26-year-old expressed her excitement to US Weekly, “Anything I’ll say will completely downplay how incredibly excited and honored I am to be representing this iconic brand," the model said. "It truly is a dream come true!”
Ribeiro also explained why she feels strongly about the brand and what it’s meant for her: "VS has supported me from the beginning. They have instilled confidence, hope, and a strong business sense,” she said. "When you work this closely with a brand you get a chance to understand a completely different side of the business; it's inspired me to look at my opportunity differently." The stunning model also answered the million-dollar question; how she keeps in shape! "I am constantly changing my exercise routines. It can be anything from boxing to yoga," she explained. Ribeiro also said keeping up with her 7-year-old son Michael “is a workout!”
