Sherlyn González has opened up on Twitter about a recent scare she went through in Mexico Thursday night. The 29-year-old telenovela actress and her father were assaulted with a gun in her native country, but luckily nothing happened to them.

However, the former "Clase 406" star was quick to share her scary experience on Twitter.

"It's sad on how dangerous D.F. is. We were just assaulted by two guys with guns and the worst things is that cops don't even turn on their lights," said her first tweet. She then let fans know that she was O.K.: "We're fine thank God, but it's sad to live with fear. Today I was scared that they would do something to my dad."

She also confessed that the suspects had the intention to shoot their guns, but didn't. "Now that I'm more relaxed, it's even more sad to know that those brats were saying 'shoot them,'" Sherlyn wrote, also speculating that the men must have been no older than 22 years old.

Following the mishap, Sherlyn, who forms part of the upcoming novela "Antes Muerta Que Lichita" starring Maite Perroni, woke up in a good mood. "Good morning my loves!! It's Friday, let's get to work and be happy! Thank you all for your love, I love you uncontrollably," she expressed Friday morning.
