Memo Martínez is “living the dream with the one and only, Mrs. Lopez.” The 24-year-old Mexican dancer landed a spot in Jennifer Lopez’ “All I Have” Vegas show, which premiered at the AXIS theatre in Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Las Vegas Strip this week.

“Jennifer Lopez is very important to me, because of everything she represents as an artist. She is Latina, she has songs in Spanish and English, and I have danced to most of them,” Memo told am.com. “She is a beast! She is 46, she sings live, she dances the same choreography we do, she is a complete artist, and she is an icon in both, music and acting. I learn a lot from her all the time.”

The Nuevo León native, who has been living in Los Angeles for the past 3 years, was selected out of a group of 400 dancers. Only 7 male dancers were picked. The performer revealed auditioning for JLo wasn’t an easy task but he managed to stand out due to his Latin background, “we started rehearsals in October, the first two weeks we had to go to salsa boot camp, because it is a rhythm that is very present throughout the show.”

When Memo was asked if he had received any feedback from the sexy Boricua after the audition, he replied: “The only thing she told me during the audition was, because I had long hair, if I could shave it off, because all the dancers had to as part of the show’s concept.”

Finally, Memo revealed that the 22 songs featured in “All I Have” require maximum strength, they have to jump, roll on the ground, and there is even a trampoline on stage. Looks like we definitely should look into booking those tickets, huh? See some of Memo’s Vegas journey next to JLo and other amazingly talented dancers below.
