Hulu has breathed new life in the recently canceled show "The Mindy Project." Fox canceled "The Mindy Project" a few weeks ago, but news broke simultaneously that Hulu was in talks to pick up the series, where episodes of the first three seasons have been heavily viewed and it turns out the news was true.

Hulu has announced they have officially picked up the series from Fox. The streaming service revealed that they have ordered season four of the Mindy Kaling comedy, comprised of 26 episodes in total. Star and creator of the series Mindy Kaling said of the move to Hulu:

"I am thrilled The Mindy Project has found a new home on Hulu, where so many of our fans are already watching the show. It's such an exciting place to be."

Craig Erwich, senior vice president and head of content at Hulu, said in the press release announcing the deal, "Mindy has been a beloved member of the Hulu family, so this deal is a natural extension of our relationship. With so many of her fans already catching up and tuning in to the series on Hulu, we know her millions of fans will be eager to find out what Mindy has in store for the next chapter."

The deal with Hulu includes the option to potentially order more episodes beyond these 26 new ones but we'll have to wait and see how season four does on the streaming service to determine if they'll proceed with more.
