"Mortal Kombat X" has been officially revealed with a new trailer showing off an incredible battle between veteran fighters Scropion and Sub-Zero. The video ends with an announcement revealing the game will arrive sometime in 2015.

The video is absolutely stunning and appears to mix a lot of gameplay and some CGI footage. Numerous key features are shown off, including the return of personal weapons such as Sub-Zero's ice sword as well as environmental interaction which allows you to tear off tree branches and use then as makeshift weapons.

The video also shows off the X-Ray attacks introduced in the 2011 reboot of the franchise, which gruesomely depict body parts getting broken, bruised and battered. Check out the bloody duel below.

The official blurb for the video reads: "Fueled by next-gen technology, Mortal Kombat X combines unparalleled, cinematic presentation with dynamic gameplay to create an unprecedented Kombat experience." The game will be avaiable via PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC according to WB Games UK official Twitter page.

Rumors of a new "Mortal Kombat" title have been making its rounds on the web for quite some time now. Similarly franchise creator Ed Boon has been hinting at something via his Twitter page and made frequent references to the number 10. More information about "Mortal Kombat X" is expected to be shown at E3 next week.
