The awaited reboot of "The Mummy" is a reality and its trailer has just debuted bringing a lot of action and horror to the fans.

The first preview of the highly-anticipated movie and the first installment in the Universal Monsters shared universe, debuted this Sunday beginning with what we thought was the death of Tom Cruise’s character Nick Morton on a plane crash while carrying an ancient sarcophagus. There's panic when millions of birds crash into the mission plane causing it to crash and killing of all the soldiers aboard, including Morton.

He rises from the dead as we listen to Dr. Jekyll (Russell Crowe) narrate: "Welcome to a new world of Gods and Monsters."

The teaser is full of action and shows that this new installment will be without a doubt, a box office success.

It’s been 18 years since "The Mummy," starring Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz and John Hannah was released, and 85 years since the first "The Mummy" movie, starring Boris Karloff, premiered.

The fact that Tom Cruise is starring in this reboot gives it a little “Mission Impossible” taste that we cannot deny. We bet this twist will make it more interesting and we look forward for this upcoming premiere in the summer of 2017.
