If you were expecting a different NBA Finals than the last two years, than you could be in for a disappointment.

That’s according to NBA General Managers, anyway. According to a new poll taken from NBA General Managers, the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers received an incredible 97 percent of the votes casted. That’s an incredibly high amount, but as we all know, the NBA has never been known for high parity and balance.

The Cavaliers could very well win the Eastern Conference for a third consecutive year. The East does not have an elite team outside the Cavaliers, and a LeBron James-led squad has won the conference an unprecedented six straight years. You’ll always have you’re “good teams” out there like the Toronto Raptors, but even they can’t match the Cavaliers come playoff time.

As for the Warriors, they should be better than ever this year. They’ve almost retained their entire roster led by Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, and they added the gem of all free agents; Kevin Durant. It may take a while, but Durant will eventually find his rhythm on the Warriors thus more than likely setting up another Western Conference title.

The San Antonio Spurs may be the only team in the West who can disrupt this elite madness. Yes, they lost Tim Duncan, however the Spurs did in fact sign Pau Gasol as their new power forward. It’s appearing more and more as if the NBA is a three team league at best.
