Nintendo has announced the official release date for two highly anticipated Amiibo characters, Mega Yarn Yoshi and Mewtwo.

First up is Mega Yarn Yoshi amiibo, who will be available from Nov. 15 in the U.S. and Nov. 27 in Europe. Functionality for the mega sized Yoshi remains the same as its normal-sized yarn amiibo counterpart. This means when you tap on the Wii U GamePad in "Yoshi's Woolly World," the Mega Yarn Yoshi triggers a second Yoshi to use during that stage. Players can also save their favorite Yoshi designs directly to the amiibo.

The second much-anticipated amiibo, Mewtwo, will arrive Nov. 13 in the U.S. and Oct. 23 in Europe. Functionality wise, Mewtwo will act as part of the "Super Smash Bros." lineup of amiibo and should operate like any other fighter-based figure. These two amiibo should not be confused with Nintendo's September wave of figures.

Nintendo is releasing four types of Amiibo on September 11 including Ganondorf, Zero Suit Samus, Olimar and the 8-Bit Classic Mario. On September 25, 2015, three amiibo — Duck Hunt, R.O.B., and Mr. Game & Watch — will be released as part of the Retro 3 Pack. As Segment Next points out wave five will not be have preorders, such as the waves before it.
