We’ve still got more than several weeks to go before “Once Upon a Time” returns to ABC but that certainly has not stopped the news and rumors about the second half of OUAT, in fact it seems the closer we get to the midseason premiere the more news we hear about the show. The biggest spoiler we’ve heard thus far is from TV Line who interviewed the showrunners Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz of OUAT who teased that a series regular would not make it season four!

Now TV Guide is reporting that Rose McGowan is set to reprise her role as a young Cora, Regina’s mother. Now the last time we seen the character of Cora she, well, died so we don’t know what she will be up to in the upcoming episodes. McGowan will be appearing the in 18th episode of the season and we assume it will be in a flashback of course, unless Cora magically finds a way to bring her younger self to the present though we doubt it.

TV Line also has revealed in their latest spoiler chat session that the second half of “Once Upon a Time” will see the inclusion of a new pirate, Blackbeard. During the spoiler chat when asked about Captain Hook TV Line said, “This can’t bode well for our resident swashbuckler: As we speak, the show is casting the one-episode role of Blackbeard, a cut-throat pirate if there ever was one. Might he cut Mr. Jones’ throat?!” Whether Blackbeard is friend or foe has yet to be determined, but we are betting on the latter. “Once Upon a Time returns” Sunday, March 9 at 8/7c on ABC.
