‘Orange Is The New Black’ Season 1 Coming To Blu-ray, DVD With Special Features!

Good News Fans of “Orange is the New Black,” it looks like season one of the hit-Netflix show will be coming to DVD and Blu-ray according to Hypable. According to an announcement from Lionsgate Home Entertainment the first season of OITNB will be coming in Blu-ray and DVD May 13. It was also revealed “Orange is the New Black” season one will also be released in Digital HD one week earlier, May 6. There are a couple of special features included with the Blu-ray and DVD’s such as producer commentary and some featurettes.

There are four featurette’s including “New Kid on the Cell Block,” Mother Hen: Red Runs the Coup,” “It’s Tribal” and “Prison Rules.” The DVD and Blu-ray also feature two producer commentary episodes for “I Wasn’t Ready” with Jenji Kohan, Tara Hermann and Mark Burley adding the commentary and “Can’t Fix Crazy.” If you are unaware of what OITNB is about then check out the official description below.

“‘Orange is the New Black’ revolves around Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling), a bisexual woman living in New York City who is sentenced to 15 months in a women's federal prison for transporting a suitcase full of drug money to her former girlfriend who is an international drug smuggler. The offense occurred ten years prior to the start of the series, and in that time Chapman had moved on to a quiet law-abiding life among New York's upper middle class.”
