Season 4 of “Pretty Little Liars” will kickoff on January 7, 2014, and as if the wait between the spilt season won’t be bad enough the premiere episode will be entitled “Who’s in the Box?” Episode 14’s name leaves us with so many unanswered and nagging questions! Fortunately for us, creator I. Marlene King has revealed a very important clue regarding Season 4. King took to Twitter on Sept. 4 writing, “There’s a B in the box.”
The title of the winter premiere episode was revealed when King responded to a fan’s question on Sept. 6. A fan wrote, “@imarleneking if Alison is Alive then how is there an autopsy report??” Instead of directly responding to the question, the creator responded, “Title of the season premiere: Who’s in the Box!”
Twitter obviously went insane with theories about who exactly is the B in the box, which ranged from Aria’s father, Byron, being in the box, to another box being in the box. But we really think that there is definitely a body in the box, but who is it? New theories suggest that Alison may have a twin and she maybe in that box! The idea of Alison having a twin comes from the “Pretty Little Liars” book series, in which Alison has a twin named Courtney.
While we are a long way a way from Episode 14, we may meet Alison’s twin in the “Pretty Little Liars” Halloween episode. In the Halloween episode premiering on Oct. 22 will follow the Liars, Aria, Spencer, Emily and Hanna in neighboring town Ravenswood as they search for Alison. Following the Season 4 summer finale, “Now You See Me, Now You Don’t” the Liars learned that Alison didn’t actually die the night she went missing, but instead that she was rescued by Mrs. Grunwald. Revealing Alison’s twin in the Halloween episode actually makes the most sense, considering past Halloween specials. The past two “PLL” Halloween specials have featured tales about murderous twins.
