‘Pretty Little Liars’ Season 5 Christmas Episode Confirmed: Show Runner Marlene King Reveals Spoilers On Twitter

While "Pretty Little Liars" fans are still reeling after discovering the identity of Red Coat in the Halloween episode "Grave New World," show runner Marlene King is making even bigger reveals for the shows next season! King, who actively interacts with fans on Twitter, recently confirmed a "Pretty Little Liars" Christmas special, following the success of last week's Halloween episode. This doesn't really shock us! The series has hinted at the possibility of bringing in some yuletide cheer for quite a while now, and it seems fans will finally experience a Christmas miracle, Liars style.

So how exactly did King reveal that a Christmas special is on the horizon for PLL? Well, with a cryptic message of course! On October 28, a fan tweeted King writing, "Someday I really, really want a Pretty Little Liars Christmas episode it would be the cutest thing ever please @imarleneking make it happen!" It seems the mystery and fun of PLL is something that comes natural to King who coyly responded, "Season 5." So that's means that a Christmas special is definitely set for Season 5 of "Pretty Little Liars," my only concern is the possibility of this episode eliminating the Halloween special. So how could a Christmas special top the latest Liars discovery in "Grave New World?" Well we are thinking that a lot of mistletoe and spike eggnog will be involved, and of course A!

So with a year to wait until the highly anticipated Christmas special, PLL fans may just want to focus on the brewing drama for the second half of Season 4. The series returns to ABC Family on January 7 with episode 14, "Who's in the Box?" After the big reveal of Alison being alive and well in episode 13, the episode title alludes to who exactly is in Alison's casket? Whose body was discovered in the backyard all those years ago? Our theory! Alison may have a twin and she may be in that box! The idea of Alison having a twin comes from the "Pretty Little Liars" book series, in which Alison has a twin named Courtney.
