Nowadays everything is possible, but who would imagine you can make delicious treats with Red Bull? The creators of the famous energy drink used Red Bull Orange Edition as a different but tasty way to make your own granola. Put your chef hat on and run to the kitchen!

  • Energizing Granola Balls

INGREDIENTS

1-1/4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats

½ cup slivered almonds

3 teaspoons chia seeds

¼ cup almond butter

¼ cup honey

¼ cup Red Bull Orange Edition

2 tablespoons dried cranberries

1 teaspoon orange zest

1 ounces dark chocolate, chopped

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ teaspoon cinnamon

¼ teaspoon fine sea salt

1/3 cup shredded unsweetened coconut

DIRECTIONS

Place oats, almonds, Red Bull Orange Edition and chia seeds in bowl of food processor. Process until finely ground. Add almond butter, honey, cranberries, chocolate, orange zest, vanilla, cinnamon, and sea salt to bowl and process until well blended. Mixture will form a stiff dough. Remove dough and form into 1-inch compact balls with your hands. Roll in coconut.

Place balls on a wax paper lined sheet and let stand for an hour or so, then transfer to a tin o container with a tight lid. The granola balls will keep for at last a week at room temperature or they can be chilled. Makes 20 balls.

INGREDIENTS

1/3 cup chia seeds

½ cup shredded unsweetened coconut

3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats

¾ cup slivered almonds

¾ cup Red Bull Orange Edition

¾ cup dried cranberries

1 cup honey

2 teaspoons orange zest

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1-1/2 teaspoons fine sea salt

1-1/2 ounces dark chocolate

¼ teaspoon coconut oil

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Coat a 9 x 13 pan with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside. In a small bowl, combine Red Bull Orange Edition and chia seeds. Allow to sit for 5 minutes.

In a large bowl thoroughly combine the Red Bull and chia blend with oats.

Stir in almonds, cranberries and coconut. Add honey, orange zest, cinnamon and salt and mix well.

Spoon into prepared pan press down evenly. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool completely.

In a small, microwave safe bowl combine chocolate and coconut oil. Heat in 30 second intervals until melted. Drizzle over bars and allow to set before cutting into bars. Makes 16 bars.

INGREDIENTS

3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats

¾ cup slivered almonds

½ cup shredded unsweetened coconut

¼ cup chia seeds

½ cup Red Bull Orange Edition

½ cup honey

¼ cup coconut oil

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon fine sea salt

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup dried cranberries

½ cup chopped dark chocolate

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

In a large bowl, combine oats, almonds, coconut and chia seeds.

In a medium saucepan, combine Red Bull Orange Edition, honey, coconut oil, cinnamon, and sea salt. Gently heat until salt is dissolved and coconut oil is liquefied. Remove from heat and stir in orange zest and vanilla extract. Pour liquid over dry ingredients and toss to coat. Spread the mixture evenly on a large rimmed baking sheet or roasting pan.

Bake for 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes until the granola is golden brown.

Let the granola cool completely. Stir in the dried cranberries and chopped dark chocolate. Store in an airtight container. Serve with milk, or stirred into yogurt.
