Samsung has done it again adding style and functionality to the upcoming iteration of the Galaxy Gear and the new Galaxy Gear 2 Neo. Just six months after releasing their Android-based Galaxy Gear watch the company has reinvented their device with not one but three models. For starters the new Gear smartwatches do not run Android anymore. Now the devices have Samsung’s Tizen OS on board.

Other amazing features include a “simple and chic” design with interchangeable straps for your own personal style. The Gear 2’s battery will now last way longer than the previous model, by three days to be exact. The Gear 2 will function with more Galaxy smartphones and includes infrared LED, which means the watch can act as a TV remote. And if this interest you but you are worried about the price, Samsung has unveiled a lighter version, the Galaxy Gear 2 Neo. The Gear 2 Neo will work in conjunction with 17 Galaxy devices, it works as a standalone music player and features a heart rate sensor just like the Samsung Galaxy S5.
