NFL fans get an NFC West clash on Sunday Night Football.

The Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals will battle in one of the biggest games of the week. Both teams are coming off wins in Week 6, and this will be the first time we see the two squads go at it this year.

Let's break down the teams and pick a winner.

Seattle Seahawks (4-1)

The Seahawks defeated the Atlanta Falcons in a controversial finish last week, but regardless of the non-pass interference penalty, a win is a win. With three consecutive victories, the Seahawks not only lead the NFC West, but Pete Carroll’s squad is the only team in the division with a winning record.

As usual, defense is the primary reason. The Seahawks have the No. 1 ranked defense as far as yards allowed and the No. 3 ranked defense when it comes to points given up. They may very well have lost some key players, but the Seahawks defense remains elite.

Quarterback Russell Wilson has been dealing with an ankle injury, but he is listed as “probable,” and is expected to play. Wilson has only thrown one interception this season, but the Seahawks rushing attack hasn’t exactly been a force.

The Seahawks play the New Orleans Saints next week.

Arizona Cardinals (3-3)

It’s been a pretty inconsistent year thus far for the Cardinals. At 3-3, the Cardinals have displayed good stretches of football mixed with some boneheaded decisions. David Johnson has been running wild with 568 yards, and his performance against the Seahawks will be the x-factor in this game.

Carson Palmers isn’t off to his best start, and that’s a good sign when you have to take on the “Legion of Boom.” Naturally, all eyes will be on future Hall of Fame wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald, now 33 years old, is still the undisputed leader of this Cardinals roster.

Schedule

The Seahawks and Cardinals play each other on Sunday night at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBC. The game will be played at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. You can watch a live game stream here.

Prediction

This should be a close game between two teams who are very familiar with one another. The Cardinals will be the host and they need this game much more than the Seahawks, but the Seahawks have the momentum. Don’t be surprised if this game goes to overtime with Wilson’s feet making the difference.

Seahawks win 24-21
