Fox’s hit animated show “The Simpsons” is planning something big for its upcoming 550th episode. It has been revealed “Brick Like Me” will be “The Simpsons” first all LEGO episode. “Brick Like Me” is said to focus on Homer as he tries to escape from a LEGO Simpsons universe before he becomes trapped in it forever. The highly-anticipated episode is set to air May 4.

Created by Matt Groening, “The Simpsons” is the longest running animated series in the history of U.S. television. The series entered its 25th season last year, and the LEGO episode, “Brick Like Me,” will be a monumental success becoming the shows 550th episode. So far, the 25th season has seen a Halloween episode directed by famous filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro, while another upcoming episode will crossover another Groening animated series, “Futurama.”

20th Century Fox announced its partnership with LEGO back in January, and “The Simpsons” LEGO house hit stores February 1 for $199. "We are thrilled to collaborate with Fox during the 25th anniversary year of The Simpsons," said Jill Wilfert, VP of licensing and entertainment at The LEGO Group at the time.

Wilfert continued, ”We know our fans will love the challenge of building the Simpsons' family home in great detail and the ability to collect quintessential characters in LEGO minifigure form will let them showcase their love of the show in a whole new way. We are also excited that The Simpsons will be created in LEGO form, truly bringing this partnership to life.”

“The Simpsons” has been renewed by Fox for a 26th season and is set to kick off in the latter half of 2014. Groening is expected to kill off a major character in the upcoming season but has kept quiet as to who it might be.
