We knew it was only a matter of time before Nintendo revealed a Limited Edition "Super Smash Bros." 3DS console. As the company has made it no secret that this year is the year of Smash Bros. a limited edition console was the next logical step for Nintendo. The console recently appeared on Nintendo's official UK store website along with other bundles with t-shirts and more. The 3DS console is red with black accents and grey and white beautifully drawn characters on the front. The back or inside is not displayed but we're assuming it's more characters in the same grey, black and white color scheme. Check it out below:
Unfortunately the console is not on the US Nintendo store so we don't know for sure if this is a European exclusive (we sure hope not). The console is priced at £209.99 ($280.63) which is a bit high for US prices but may be lowered to about $249.99 when it arrives in North America. Along with the limited edition console the bundle will come with a digital copy of the title pre-installed.
"Super Smash Bros." 3DS will launch Oct. 3 while the Wii U version will hit retail shelves sometime holiday 2014.
