Nintendo's Amiibo figures are almost here and so is "Super Smash Bros." for Wii U. In this article we will tell you how the figures and home console work hand-in-hand.

Well first and foremost the new Amiibo's learn how to fight based on your gameplay behaviors. Using your Amiibo requires you to place your figure on the Wii U GamePad fairly regularly, so keep them nearby. As IGN points out depending on what kind of gamer you are the Amiibo will adapt to that style. A Nintendo rep told the site that if you play matches without items, your Amiibo won't know what to do with them. The rep also revealed they level faster when fighting other Amiibo characters.

Amiibo characters can used in a handful of different modes in "SSB" Wii U including 8-player Smash battles, Team Smash and more! Furthermore stats and rewards earned in game will be written to each Amiibo whenever you quit out of a mode. If you're worried about loosing data Nintendo's got that covered. If a figure loses contact with the touch sensor while saving Amiibo data, the console will ask to recover the data and re-write it to the figure.

Amiibo's will have a level cap of 50 which is 41 levels higher than a standard CPU opponent. However, Nintendo Life points out that even at level 50 there isn't much of a difference in the characters abilities. In fact they report a level 50 Mario lost a match despite being 40 levels higher than the rest of the fighters.

Many have reported that saving your data to your figure is super easy and simple. Plus the system is smart enough to know if you accidentally try to scan the wrong character.

The first wave of toys to be released alongside "Super Smash Bros." for Wii U Nov. 21 include Mario, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, Peach, Marth, Yoshi, Villager and Wii Fit Trainer. The second wave releasing December 2014 include Diddy Kong, Zelda, Luigi, Captain Falcon, Pit and Little Mac. Each figure cost only $12.99. As of now the games that will work with the figures include "Super Smash Bros." Wii U, "Mario Kart 8," "Captain Toad Treasure Tracker," Mario Party 10" and "Yoshi's Woolly World."

And for all those wondering 3DS compatibility will arrive in 2015.
