"Teen Wolf" season five. MTV

When "Teen Wolf" returns for its second half of season five we can expect to see a lot more Lydia (Holland Rodan), according to executive producer Jeff Davis anyway.

Talking to Hypable at Comic-Con 2015 the producer revealed that while Lydia is staying in Eichen House we will see more of the wailing woman and the season will start with her as seen in the trailer. Furthermore, Davis revealed that Lydia will have a secret mentor to help her utilize her Banshee powers and turn them into a weapon. Davis told the website:

"Quite a bit. There’s a lot for her to do there. Even though she’s kind of comatose and catatonic, we see her quite a bit. 5B actually starts with Lydia in the water, the image you see in the trailer, trying to figure out the mystery of what happened between Theo and his sister and why his sister died."

"In 5A she learned to fight with her hands. In 5B, we see her being taught by — I won’t tell you who — to use her voice as a weapon," Davis continues. "That’s what she learns in Eichen House. And we eventually come back to present time in [episode 15]. That takes us back to [episode 1]."

Meanwhile, the relationship between Scott (Tyler Posey) and Kira (Arden Cho) will be explored in the second half of season five. According to Carter Matt the pairs relationship can go one of two ways, they could either breakup for good or become stronger as a unit. Scott and Kira have been going strong through all the danger, but with the Dread Doctors in town Scott may have to choose to let Kira go for her safety or face the danger together.

If Davis is any indication we are leaning toward the couple staying happy for a long time. Talking with Hypable the executive producer promised this season will be lighter, getting back to what made us all fall in love with the show in its first season.

"Teen Wolf" season 5b will premiere Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 9:00 p.m. ET. Until then check out the teaser trailer below:
