Venezuelan protests have errupted again in Caracas with at least seven people injured in the violence. Clashes between student protesters, armed civilians and police during another round of protests turned violent yet again in the Venezuelan capital. The protesters were called onto the streets by student leaders demanding an end to Venezuela's soaring inflation and the lack of basic resources. The protests come nearly two months after the first marches on February 12.

The march was scheduled to begin at the Central University of Venezuela and end at the vicepresident's residence when the National Guard intervened with the riot police. The riot police and protesters faced off against each other with rocks, teargas and water cannons. During the clash, groups of unidentified armed civilians in motorcycles (which the opposition claimed were associated with the government) threatened the students by friring shots into the air from within the university.

These clashes left at least "seven people injured with concussions, fractures and open wounds," aid student protest leader Hilda Rubi Gonzalez who added that all seven were "in a stable condition." Overnight, the municipality of Chaca was again the scene of clashes between a small gorup of hooded protesters who launched rocks at the riot police, who responded with teargas. Venezuela has been in turmoil for close to two months as residents protest the poor conditions of Nicolas Maduro's government.
